Capita Premiere Defenders of Awesome
10 Oct, 2011
Another snowboard movie premiere is in the bag. Last Friday EternalSnow.com hosted the second of four big snowboard movie premiere nights at The Freight House District in Reno. The movie this time around was Captia’s “Defenders of Awesome,” and it was awesome. D.O.A. had great riding, great music, and a good mix of rails, jumps, and big mountain. There is some next level S*@! going down. I was ready to ride after watching Defenders of Awesome. Scott Stevens is insane. This movie is defiantly a must see for this year.
Two of the guys from the movie, Brandon Cocard and Andrew Burns, made it out to sign some autographs and toss out some product. The whole nights proceeds went to an incredible local non-profit Project Snow. Project Snow thrives to provide and promote physical activity among foster youth living in Washoe County, ages 7-17 through snowboarding. They do great things for the community and we are more than happy to help them out.
Again we would like to thank everyone who helped out:
Penny with Project Snow; Ryan and the entire Freight House crew; Sean (H.B.D) and Chris with Capita Snowboards; Andrew Burns, Joshua Parker, Durell Williams, Brendan Gerard and Brandon Cocard; and especially all of the people who made it out to support a good cause! Oh yeah and CAPiTA, COAL, UNION, Ashbury and Nike Snowboarding for supplying some amazing raffle prizes.
THANK YOU ALL!!
Next Saturday will be a big with a rail jam, movie premiere, and concert all wrapped into one action packed night starting at 5:00pm.
